Financial Aid/Scholarship Guidelines for Manhattan Youth Ballet

    • The deadline for returning students applying for financial aid is August 31 for the following fall and spring semesters. However, if your are a new incoming student for the Spring semester you will have the opportunity to apply for financial aid.
    • New students MUST apply for scholarship the day of the September audition
    • Students must apply for all of the classes within their level to be eligible for financial aid.
    • We disburse financial aid based upon students’ demonstrated financial need and talent Please request a Student Aid Form at the front desk and return it completed with a $30.00 processing fee. (Without the student aid form, no financial aid will be granted)
    • In August before every school year, you are required to submit a new Student Aid Form with a $30.00 processing fee for review.
    • The amount of financial aid awarded for the fall semester will be the same amount granted for the spring semester, so long as students demonstrate their full potential throughout the semester.
    • If requesting additional financial aid for the spring semester, submit a new application along with a $30.00 processing fee.
    • Additional financial aid is not guaranteed and is issued only if personal circumstances have changed.
    • Rules allow students only three unexcused absences; additional absences require a doctor’s note, as more than three absences will result in loss of financial aid and possible expulsion.
    • If a student will not be attending a class, s/he must call and inform the front desk upon learning such.
    • Scholarship students must have the Director’s approval to take classes or perform outside of Manhattan Youth Ballet, or their scholarship will be revoked.
    • Students receiving financial aid will be asked on occasion to assist us with light clerical work and/or light cleaning.
    • Summer Intensive financial aid can only be used for said program.
    • Students who do not comply with the studio guidelines will lose their financial aid.
    • Applications are available in the forms section.
