Pre-Professional Program
Located in the heart of New York City's vibrant dance community, Manhattan Youth Ballet is a premier pre-professional training program dedicated to developing exceptional artists in a supportive, inspiring, and inclusive environment.
Our year-round curriculum blends the discipline and elegance of the European classical ballet tradition with the innovation and expressive spirit of American dance. Students develop a strong technical foundation while cultivating artistry, musicality, confidence, and the freedom to discover their own unique voice as dancers.
Led by an internationally recognized faculty whose professional experience includes New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Martha Graham Dance Company, and other world-renowned institutions, MYB offers comprehensive training in both classical and contemporary repertoire. Students perform in three professionally produced productions each year, exploring the works of legendary choreographers including Marius Petipa, George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, and today's leading artistic voices.
At Manhattan Youth Ballet, we believe exceptional training extends beyond the studio. Our students graduate not only with the technical excellence and artistic confidence to pursue professional careers, but with the discipline, resilience, creativity, and character that prepare them for success in every endeavor. Whether their journey leads to a professional dance company, a university dance program, or a lifelong appreciation of the arts, they leave MYB as part of a vibrant and supportive alumni community that continues to inspire, connect, and celebrate one another long after graduation.
